Introduction & Mission
“Smrutishesh Madhukarrao Tamgadge Charitable Trust, Nagpur” (Tamgadge Trust henceforth) is a registered Public Trust under Section 19 of the Maharashtra Public Trust Act, 1950 with a registration no. of E-3573(N), Nagpur.
The following are the objectives of the Smrutishesh Madhukarrao Tamgadge Charitable Trust, Nagpur.
- To arrange educational scholarships for parentless/orphan girl students.
- To work in the field of coordination for efforts related to Sickle Cell Anemia disease.
- To publish literature and books related to Ambedkarite movement and issues related to weaker segment of the Society.
- To provide professional guidance and assistance to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC and weaker segments of the Society with respect to education and employment based competitive examinations.
- To work for propagation and development of rational and scientific attitude in the Society.
- To create a documentation hub for Ambedkarite movement; its genesis, phases and contemporary trends.
- To promote the culture of free libraries and Abhyasikas for poor students.

What We Do

The Headquarter of the Tamgadge Trust, Smrutishesh Madhukarrao Tamgadge Prerna Prabodhini also has the Head Office of NASCO.
The National Alliance of Sickle Cell Organizations (NASCO) is India’s first voluntary, non-profit, national-level organization.
NASCO’s mission is to raise awareness about sickle cell disease among the general public and to strive toward improving the quality of life for those living with the condition.
NASCO serves as an umbrella organization for sickle cell anemia. It acts as a liaison, working in active coordination with the Government of India and various state governments—as well as with diverse organizations and voluntary groups operating across different states—to facilitate strategic interventions aimed at improving the condition of patients with sickle cell anemia.
